Shreevar Uniqarts Conservatory Resources has a rich legacy rooted in passion, perseverance, and the preservation of cultural heritage. Established on 23rd July 1994 at Padang Jawa by Madam. Savithri Velaithan, the institution began its journey as Shree Vardhani Dance & Music Kalalaya, a dedicated centre for classical Indian dance and music.
As the arts landscape in Malaysia evolved, so did we. In 2005, embracing a broader vision and responding to the growing interest in diverse local performance traditions, the academy was rebranded as Unique Arts Academy, collaborated with an event management team.
In 2024, as we celebrated our 30-year milestone, we embraced a new identity: Shreevar Uniqarts Conservatory Resources. This rebranding reflects not only our growth in structure, resources, and outreach, but also reaffirms our mission—to serve as a dynamic hub for performing arts education and cultural development across communities.

We strive to be more than just an institution—we are a second home for aspiring artists, offering personalised guidance, mentorship, and creative space for growth.

Srimathi Savithri Vellaithan
Founder & Artistic Director
Srimathi Savithri Vellaithan is an award-winning cultural educator, choreographer, and advocate for the arts, with over five decades of experience in arts field and Malaysia's diverse traditional dance forms. Recognised both nationally and internationally, she has dedicated her life to preserving heritage, nurturing young talent, and building meaningful platforms for artistic growth.
Since founding the institution in 1994, she has transformed it from a small classical dance centre into Shreevar Uniqarts Conservatory Resources—a dynamic conservatory that bridges traditional wisdom with contemporary arts education.
Savithri Vellaithan continues to shape the cultural landscape of Malaysia with vision, heart, and an unwavering belief in the power of the performing arts to uplift, transform, and connect.
